About the workplace:

The LSS group home is located on Hönö, close to nature and the sea. The accommodation consists of five apartments and common areas where users can meet and socialize. Here live individuals with various disabilities, and we work according to LSS with a focus on the individual's needs and wishes. We strive to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for people with disabilities. Our operations are based on respect for the individual's self-determination, participation, and integrity, and our goal is for each user to live as independently as possible.

We are now looking for you who want to be part of our team as a night support assistant and contribute to a calm and safe night environment for our users.

About the position

As a night support assistant, you play an important role in ensuring safety and continuity for our users during the late hours of the day. You work independently but in close collaboration with day and evening staff to create a predictable and calm environment. Your tasks include supervision, care as needed, practical chores, and documentation in our journal system Life Care.

We work from a salutogenic approach and use KASAM (sense of coherence) as a foundation – a daily life that is comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful for our users.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience working with people with disabilities and care work (requirement).
  • A positive view of people and the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Confidence in working independently at night.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in dementia care.
  • Knowledge of low-arousal approaches and clarifying pedagogy.
  • Experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
  • Documentation experience, preferably in Life Care.
